Paintboxes & Controllers

We can provide paint controllers for all of our full sized cameras. These are enormously useful tools, providing for iris and pedestal control as well as record control in situations that don’t allow access to the camera itself such as cranes, jibs, helicopter or airplane mounts, etc. For those with the know-how and understanding, these paintboxes allow control of the total look of the camera. They also allow shading and precise exposure control in the field with a qualified Video Engineer. Our paint control cables range from 3’ to 150’, depending on the controller. All the controllers draw power from the camera.

Sony RM-B750 paintbox/controller

  • Equivalent to a Master Set-up Unit in a compact unit powered from the device to be controlled
  • Works with HDC or HDW cameras, DVW790, 709 or an HDW-250 portable VTR used with a camera
  • Combines an LCD touch-panel screen and direct push buttons
  • Memory Stick® media card slot to store and transfer that various setup parameters
  • VTR REC Start/Stop can also be assigned by the assignable switch
